Varia Hotel

Room 504 had a huge bathroom, with a bathtub, sauna, and massive shower. It felt like having my own little spa. The hotel itself is well placed, with small grocery stores nearby, lots of cafes and massage options, and a giant, busy night market just steps away. Housekeeping was a bit frustrating. I had to remind them to clean our room each day, and sometimes they forgot. Still, if you approach it more like staying at a friend’s place and don’t need everything to be perfect, it can be a really enjoyable stay. A shoutout to the very friendly male staff member who speaks good English. His warm smile and sincere attitude made things brighter. :)

The staff made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the stay. Everyone was kind, professional, and ready to help, and the room and facilities were clean and well maintained. My room was tidy and had what I needed to relax. It was also really convenient to be close to the city center, with attractions, restaurants, and cafes easy to reach. I had a great experience and would come back.

Hien, the manager at The Varia Hotel, really made our stay. He helped us rent mopeds, pointed us to great food, and even sorted out a currency exchange when we were in a pinch. That kind of care is rare, thank you HIEN! The location was spot on, right outside the food market and surrounded by great local places, so it was easy to get around on foot. For the price, location, and genuine hospitality, you can’t go wrong with this hotel in Phu Quoc.

As soon as we walked into the family room, the heat hit us like an oven. One whole side is window instead of a proper wall, and the room gets unbearably hot. That seems especially unsuitable for a family room meant to be comfortable for children. The design feels poorly thought out, and I was very disappointed.
