Vinh Lan Guesthouse

The driveway keeps the place set back from the street, so it’s nice and peaceful. There’s an upstairs shared terrace with seats and hammocks, and the family are lovely. Water, beer and other basics are sold at minimart prices. Our clean, comfortable room had air conditioning, a fridge and a basic bathroom, for 350K a night. We stayed an extra night for the great value and fresh home cooking. There are lots of guests who return or stay for a long time, which says a lot!

Dat and his parents take a lot of care with the nhà nghỉ, and they made everything feel relaxed and easy for me. Dat speaks excellent English, is warm and responsive, and knows Phú Quốc well since he grew up here. His tips for places to visit nearby were great. The room was comfortable and very good value. Bottled water is available, and although the property is quiet and set back from the street, restaurants, markets, pharmacies and other amenities are just a short walk away. If you let them know in advance, the family can make delicious dinners with generous portions. I had a very good stay and would happily return.

I spent over three weeks at this family guesthouse and really enjoyed it. The owner is a very warm Vietnamese woman who takes special care of guests, and her son is always glad to help. It’s in a pleasant village away from the crowds, with local people around, which made the stay feel authentic. Thanks again to this lovely family. Highly recommended!

What stood out was how helpful everyone was. They went out of their way to answer my questions, and the scooter rental made exploring the area easy. The people were so welcoming that I felt like part of the family from the moment I arrived. The place was spotless and well looked after, and the food was delicious for the price. I had an amazing stay and highly recommend this homestay for its value and wonderful people.
