King Villa Hotel

We booked through booking.com and got an email with the full amount before arrival. Check-in was straightforward, but they only asked for ID and gave us no receipt or itemized information about the room. We left a day early, then the man at the desk said we owed more money and had to pay in cash. I pointed out that booking.com required my credit card and that the booking was non-refundable, but he insisted the payment hadn't been charged. Nobody had mentioned cash-only payment on the website or at check-in. I had booked eight hotels on this trip, and he wanted me to pull up my bank transactions right there while my car was waiting outside. In the end I paid cash because the front desk manager wouldn't listen or try to understand. I wasted so much time arguing with them. It felt like a rip-off. I wouldn't stay there for free. Booking should remove them from the site or make the cash-only requirement clear.

The photos we took here looked great and went over really well back home. We picked the hotel largely for its appearance, but inside it's a decent place with the basics a traveler needs: a good shower, air conditioning and toiletries. The bed felt a bit hard to me. Otherwise, everything was fine.

After looking at a few places, these rooms seemed by far the nicest. The beds were soft and comfortable, too. If I come back to Quang Ngai, I'd stay here again.
