Phu Tai Center Hotel

For 200,000 VND booked through Booking.com, the room was clean, comfortable, well lit, and practical, with everything working and what I needed for an overnight stay. The private bathroom had hot water, and shops, restaurants, food stalls, services, and a market were all an easy walk away. The sound carries badly through the thin walls. I could hear people in the hall and other rooms walking and talking, the TV, people peeing, water running, and toilets flushing. I sleep heavily, so it didn't bother me and I didn't take off a star for it. Getting checked in was slow and awkward. One staff member seemed to be handling everything alone, didn't speak English, and made me feel like an inconvenience. I was also worried about leaving my bicycle somewhere safe. She first pointed me to an outdoor spot that didn't feel secure and was reluctant to let me put the bike in the spacious reception area. I eventually got it inside, but it took a while and was frustrating. She also seemed to be managing reception, cleaning rooms, and early checkouts. She looked new to the computer system and still learning, which may have added to her frustration and limited patience. The rooms were very clean, and with more experience and support, check-in and guest communication could get better. The room itself was very good; the difficult parts were checking in and sorting out bicycle security.
