The Kila Boutique Hotel

There was loud music from somewhere nearby every evening, so I wouldn't recommend staying here. Our room, though, was very nice, had a small balcony, and was always clean. The servers at breakfast at least smiled, but breakfast seemed meant only for Asian guests. At check-in the reception staff acted as if we were bothering them and reluctantly showed us to our room. When we asked about tours, they handed us a sign written entirely in Vietnamese and laughed when we asked what it said. The reception staff really let the place down.

The hotel and rooms were good for the price, and I liked the soundproof windows. The shower was awkward to use. I would've rated it 4 out of 5 if the staff's attitude had been better, or if they seemed like they wanted to be there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The air conditioning struggled to cool the room, and the noise from the local bars was awful. It sounded like a DJ was in the next room. This was on a Wednesday, when most of the bars and restaurants seemed empty, so I'd hate to be here on a weekend.

We stayed for a week, and on our last day, Friday, we asked to check out at 14:00. They wouldn't allow it, even though guests in the neighboring room had been allowed to stay until around 14:00 on Thursday. It left us feeling discriminated against. The Booking.com photos also made the swimming pool look much bigger than it really is. The receptionists were unfriendly and never greeted us in Vietnamese or English. They couldn't speak English, which was a real shame. I've traveled around the world, and their attitude was terrible. I'm Vietnamese, and I never want to return to this hotel.
