The evening meal was the best food we had, and the friendly owner cooked it while going out of their way to help everyone. We also had a lovely time making spring rolls. The three-hour trek was free, the views were stunning, and the guide looked after the whole group. Breakfast was great too. The place is outside Sapa town, but we shared taxis into town with other guests. We had a fantastic three-night stay.

The ride down into the valley is bumpy, and taxi drivers don't seem keen on making the trip. Getting a taxi back to Sapa quickly and for around 8 euros can be tricky, though that's a pretty small complaint. What really stood out was Vu and her family's Amica House. Everyone was warm, full of personality, helpful, and easy to chat with, and their English was very good. I felt at home during my two nights and wished I could stay longer, but time was limited. The food was the best I had in four weeks in Vietnam. In the evening we made spring rolls together, then ate and chatted, while Vu cooked the rest. Her son also offered a short morning hike. He's kind and very funny, so I really enjoyed going with him.

We had a great time here, and the family who run the place were so friendly. We even played cards with their sons in the evenings. They also offered walks and cooking classes, and the family dinner was a real highlight. Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed. One of our favorite stops in Vietnam so far.

Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the family was kind, attentive, and helpful with tours. I stayed in the shared room, which has a little balcony looking out over rice fields and mountains. If the sky is clear, you can see PHAN XI PAN. It was an amazing and unforgettable stay.

We chose the family dinner all three nights because the food was so good. It was affordable, changed every evening, and gave us a chance to meet new people and hear perspectives from around the world. The family's service made the stay, too. Hong was great at keeping in touch before and during our visit, sorting out taxis and offering travel advice. Her son, ming, led a group trek and shared interesting things about local culture and daily life. He was attentive and made everyone feel welcome. They also offer village walks and cooking classes, which prepare you for the family dinner. Our room was great, with amazing views on a clear day, a good shower temperature and pressure, and a heater for colder weather. Breakfast was included, with fresh fruit, hot pancakes and eggs, plus tea and coffee. Whenever someone mentions Sapa, I'll bring up Amica house.
