Bamboo Sapa Hotel

The best part for us was breakfast. It was the only hotel during our whole time in Vietnam that served poha and uttapam, and they tasted great. I'd definitely suggest it to anyone looking for vegan breakfast options. The hotel is great and very well located. The rooms are really nice if you avoid the standard ones and choose a room with a balcony. There are two swimming pools, an infinity pool and a hot swimming pool.

The view from the hotel was incredible, and we especially loved the hot tub and pool with the kids. The playground was a nice extra for our family. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was lovely and well kept, and the receptionist was genuinely kind. Breakfast was the one disappointment. As a Muslim family, we found that most choices were pork, so we were left with fruit and vegetables. It would be helpful to have more chicken and beef and some halal options so Muslim guests can enjoy breakfast too. Aside from that, we had a really good stay and appreciated everything.

The walk through the villages and rice fields was a real highlight. We chose Tour 1, a 12 km trek through three villages, and Giang guided us at a pace that suited us. I found parts of it tough, but felt safe and knew where to walk. Giang was friendly, spoke clearly, and shared lots about the plants and local life in each village. She checked that we were doing okay throughout. I’d recommend both the tour and Giang as a guide. The hotel is also well placed, close to the main square and within walking distance of Cat Cat village.

The staff were kind, respectful, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. The location made it easy to get to restaurants, Sun Plaza, and shops, and I’d book here again when we return to sapa. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a good bed and pillows, spotless bathroom, and smart TV. We also enjoyed the gym, the heated pool, and the infinity pool. The reception area was beautiful too. It has all the amenities we wanted.
