Beautiful Sapa Hotel

The staff were so accommodating, and the location is perfect. The rooms are spacious, though they feel a bit old. The toilet area especially needs attention, with a rusty table, and some parts of the lobby and room hallway smelled bad.

The family who runs Beautiful Sapa Hotel were warm and friendly, and the location made it easy to get around. Good massage places, restaurants, and cafes are nearby, and the start of trekking tours and Sapa city centre are both walkable. The room matched the photos, with a clean, attractive interior and a nice view. It’s one of those rare listings that actually looks like what you booked. Highly recommended.

We liked how quiet the location was, tucked at the end of a street but still just a short walk from the main square. The front desk staff cooked our chosen breakfast on the spot, and although the choices were basic, that was fine for us. We rented two motorbikes for 150.000 dong each. One came with an empty tank, so don’t fill it right to the top. For a trip into the mountains, choose the semi automatic bike. Room 502 was huge for our family of four, and we got a warm welcome. The owner, I assume, speaks great English and was helpful. The room looked clean at first, but housekeeping hadn’t checked under the beds. There were beer cans, crisp packets, and other rubbish there. I asked the front desk to have the floor cleaned because we had young children. It was still dirty underneath afterward. I showed a photo to the manager, I presume, and she apologized sincerely and had it cleaned properly. The staff were so friendly, which made up for a lot. Not perfect, but we’d stay again.

This wasn’t what we expected. The rooms felt old and dirty, and none of the staff spoke English. Breakfast was just a little watermelon and banana. We were really disappointed.
