The family made everything feel so welcoming that this became my favorite part of my Vietnam trip. I loved hearing about the house and how it was built, and the homemade wine and jam were lovely too. Then there's the view. Everything just felt right.

Getting there from Sapa town was easy, just a short taxi ride for about 100k dong. They welcomed us at 6am after our sleeper bus arrival around 5:45 am, which meant we could finally sleep and take a warm shower. Later, the family cooked a generous meal with fresh, flavorful food, and breakfast the next morning was good too. Their two sons spoke English very well, and their parents could communicate enough with us. The log cabin was cozy but still spacious, with a fireplace that kept it nicely heated. Mr. Fung and his family were wonderful hosts. From the cabin, we could enjoy stunning views, and the whole stay was an amazing experience at a fantastic price. Sunrise and sunset were especially memorable with such warm, hospitable people around.

The views of Fanispan Mountain and Ta Van Village's rice terraces were the main reason my three friends and I chose this place for one night. We all wished we'd stayed longer. Mr Hung and his family of four were welcoming from start to finish, and let us check in early at no extra cost after we arrived in Sa Pa on a sleeper bus. The cabin is hand built by Mr Hung, which gave it a cozy feel in the cold weather. There are four comfortable double beds, two in private rooms and two in a loft above them. One room looks out over a huge mountain range and Ta Van village. Mr Hung set up the wood fire for us, and there's one bathroom with a hot shower. We had a hearty dinner with different Vietnamese dishes, then eggs on toast with nuc cham sauce for breakfast. Both hit the spot in Sa Pa's cold. At checkout, Mrs Hung let us leave our luggage at their cozy restaurant ‘Sapa Fieu’ before catching another sleeper bus to Hanoi. It's a 10-15min drive from Sa Pa centre, with a local coffee shop two minutes away on foot and the Alpine Rollercoaster five minutes away, which I'd recommend too. Dogs, pigs, chickens, goats, and other animals often wandered past, adding to the homely atmosphere. That night we played intense games of Uno and Uno Flip by the wood fire, chatted about funny memories over dinner, and enjoyed some of Mr Hung's plum wine. With the price and views, it's fantastic. This homestay will bring me back to Sa Pa one day. Cheers from Australia

I’ve never found a place in Sapa this peaceful, with such an amazing view. The family were the kindest people I’ve met on my travels. If you want to get away from the crowded city, come meet them. Thanks so much, and see you again!
