Staying in a separate little house, with animals nearby and a peaceful atmosphere, was a real treat. Mama Lily was caring and provided everything we needed. She cooked local food, and her friendly family was always ready to help. Her son can drive you to town or nearby villages. This is a lovely place to get away from the city and spend time in a village, surrounded by rice fields and idyllic scenery. Mama also arranges treks in the mountains and rice terraces, where you can see the landscape up close and learn about the daily lives of mountain villagers. Thanks for a wonderful experience. If I return to Sapa, I'll visit this family again.

Mama Lili speaks perfect English and is happy to share about her Hmong culture. I felt lucky to be included in a local festival day with her family. The area's beautiful for trekking when the weather allows, and it's a perfect place to get away from it all. Just keep in mind the distance from town can mean a couple of expensive taxi rides. I hope to come back one day.

Mama Lili and I go back many years, and I recently came to visit again. The place her sons and daughters have built is a masterpiece. Eight years ago, Mama Lili and I walked up to her palace while her sons were crafting it from real wood. Seeing it finished was amazing. Mama Lili cooks the best meals ever. The people who came by were great, and we had a good time visiting, partying, and chatting. The silence was the best part. See you at New Year, Mama Lili and family. You're my Vietnamese family! Getting to and from town takes planning. Although the homestay is only 5 km away, the road conditions make the trip take over an hour. Our hosts arranged a cab for our departure, but we had to work around the cab's timing. If you need to catch a bus or flight, leave plenty of time to get back. My husband and I stayed two nights and would absolutely recommend this place for its quiet and incredible views. Mama Lili and her family were kind and caring. I had a migraine, and they did everything they could to help me feel better. The clean bungalows were cozy, with firm but comfortable beds, a breathtaking view from the front door, and a warm shower. There were cute animals around, including ducks, chickens, cats, and a tiny dog. All the meals were fantastic, with lots of fresh vegetables, rice, and meat. They offer day treks too, though we couldn't go because of my migraine. Mama Lili and her family would make great company as guides. The price was more than affordable, and we'd love to come back.

We felt very welcome and truly loved our time at this mountain homestay. The family were incredibly kind and attentive, and took time to tell us about the village and their culture. Highly recommended.
