The staff made the stay feel like home, and the meals were delicious. We enjoyed meeting other travellers, too. The setting is quiet and up in the mountains, a great base for trekking. Pencil the dog was a lot of fun and loved all the attention. I also left something behind, and they kindly arranged to have it delivered safely to me.

The whole stay felt meditative, with wind chimes and clouds drifting through the mountains. The rooms have a lovely wood smell, and the food is amazing. There are culturally informed trips and cooking classes on offer as well. Everyone was so kind. If you need somewhere to let your mind and nervous system breathe, I can only recommend this beautiful place. And the snaggletoothed dog is the cutest.

After a lot of travel and the Ha Giang loop, this homestay was just the relaxing retreat I needed. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. There’s a menu you can order from throughout the day, too. Pencil, the little dog, rounds it all off perfectly, wandering around or snoozing in the sun. Thanks, Moc Home, for a beautiful stay. I don’t think you’ll regret staying here.

The rooms are small, but really cosy, and the food was delicious. Sieu, the caretaker, was super helpful, and Pencil the house dog is adorable. The place had a calming, almost meditative feel as soon as we walked in. If you want to reach the nearby cafes, be ready for some leg work on the climbs up and down, especially if you enjoy hiking.
