Pi's Boutique Hotel

When I reached Sapa, I went to the hotel hoping they might sort things out, but the receptionist only repeated that my booking had been cancelled and offered no help or other option. I’d been told about the cancellation in the middle of the night, just hours before arriving, even though my plans for the next day were already set. I had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay. That showed no respect for guests or responsibility, and I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone who needs reliable service.

The location is great, but I left feeling like I was a nuisance to the staff, who weren’t very welcoming. I’d booked a room with a balcony and a view, but was given one without a balcony, looking straight at another house’s wall. I also arrived at 4:30 am after warning them I’d be early. I knew it was much too soon to check in, but someone was awake by reception, apparently watching a movie, and ignored my calls completely. A greeting would have been the least they could do. You can find a better hotel elsewhere.

We had an app confirmation, but when we arrived to check in, the hotel said it had overbooked the room. They offered a more expensive one that was beyond our budget. We asked them to honor the original price as compensation, but they refused. Check with the hotel again before you arrive.

I showed up after midnight with a confirmed booking number, only to be told the hotel was full. I’d reserved the room the day before, and they didn’t offer any fix or seem concerned. The worker was irresponsible and unfriendly.
