Sapa CatCat Hills Resort

The food was really good, and I slept better here than anywhere else so far in Vietnam. We ended up extending our stay. The staff were especially kind and helpful when we were both feeling a bit unwell, and pointed us toward a great herbal bath place. We could also rent a scooter and book Fansipan cable car tickets through them. We really enjoyed our time here.

We loved how easy it was to walk into the centre while staying somewhere with such a great view. The room had a lovely view too, and the bed was comfortable with cozy bedding. Breakfast had a decent selection, and the dogs, a mother and her puppy, kept us company around reception and the breakfast area. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. The receptionist even offered us her snacks, and while we waited in reception for our night bus to Hanoi, someone brought us tasty fried corn grown in their garden. A really lovely stay at Cat Cat Garden House, thank you :)

We left hungry and annoyed. After ordering tea and two pizzas, we got the tea, then waited about 45 minutes before the waitress explained there was a problem with the oven. She asked us to give them another 10-15 minutes to use the second kitchen, and we agreed. Another half hour went by with no food and no update from the staff. We paid for our tea and left. Avoid this place.

The bungalow was a nice quiet spot, still close enough to the centre, with a restaurant less than a 10-minute walk away. We stayed two nights and had an amazing valley view. There was everything we needed, including AC that we used to warm the room. The receptionist's dog was the cutest bonus. I'd recommend it if you want a quieter setting without being far from town.
