Sapa Luxury Hotel - by Baylux

We booked on Agoda with the pay-at-hotel option. The receptionists were really kind, and the woman spoke English fluently. We arrived early in the morning, and they let us wait and rest in the lobby and store our luggage before check-in.

Just a five-minute walk from Sapa Bus Station and the Night Market, this was a fantastic place to stay. The lovely boss and lady boss were so warm and generous. They held my big suitcase while I went on an overnight trek, then let me use a room to shower and change afterward. When it rained, they gave me an umbrella, and before my long bus ride to Hanoi they even gave me a bottle of water. Their kindness really touched me. There's also a lovely massage service at a reasonable price, just what I needed after trekking. Highly recommended!

We stayed overnight in Room 402, and it was extremely filthy. The sheets were wrinkled and looked unchanged, and when we lifted the comforter, there was hair on the bed before we'd even lain down. The throw pillows were badly stained on the back, and the tiny stools by the mini coffee area were stained and very yellowed. The towels were dingy, crusty, and had holes. The window opening onto the hallway was broken, too: the right side locked, but the left could still be pulled open while locked. In the bathroom, there was light by the sink and toilet but none directly over the shower. The facilities were very outdated and didn't seem maintained or regularly cleaned. I wouldn't recommend it.
