Vsana Vu Son Hotel

My family rented the slippers for three days but went home after two, without even bothering to take the ugly slippers with us. The hotel said they’d lost them and charged 50k compensation. They asked to check the campsite, but couldn’t.

The staff didn’t care and wouldn’t listen, and every room seemed to be in the same state. One room looked better, but it seemed you had to pay extra for it. This place is a disgrace. It was terribly dirty and poorly maintained. The sheets had stains and didn’t seem to have been washed between guests. There were no blankets in the rooms, dead insects all over, even on the beds, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. The whole place smelled strongly of damp and mold.

The beach is close by and was cleaner and less crowded than other spots. The hotel itself looks lovely, and the staff were especially caring and friendly. We enjoyed the restaurant food and the cafe drinks, both reasonably priced, and I really liked the vegetarian buffet. One small thing: vacuum the floor before mopping and it should be fine. Laundry service would be a welcome addition.

The rooms were clean, well equipped, and had a beautiful view. Staff from reception to housekeeping were warm and attentive, and handled guest issues really well, a 10/10 for that. I’ve been to Sam Son four times this month and stayed at several nearby hotels, so the price here seemed reasonable by comparison. There’s a restaurant and drinks right next door, too. I’d stay again and support the hotel next time. They should keep a closer eye on the hotel fanpage, though, to avoid confusion.
