White Palace Thai Binh Hotel 1

We had our wedding here, and it was well organized. The staff are friendly, though English is a challenge, and the restaurant has English translations. Rooms are big, but on hot days the air conditioning can't keep up with the weather. Room prices are on the high side. Still, highly recommended!

At least the breakfast is included, though it was just three tiny pieces of meat, each about the size of a fingertip. The bathroom smelled like a sewer all day and night. The flimsy door was hard to open or close properly, and noise from outside came right through. Even walking across the floor made it creak. It's not the absolute worst, but it's pretty damn horrible.

I've returned many times while visiting friends and the family of my former partner in Thai Binh City. On the quieter west side of town, the hotel looks majestic, like the Metropole of TB to me. Its suites are spectacularly spacious, and the double rooms are large too. The lobby is grand, check-in is easy, and there's plenty of parking for a motorbike. My room had a huge, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a tub. It's a really good base for a trip to Thai Binh City.

I'm Indian and strictly vegetarian, and they took great care to make me comfortable despite the language barrier. They prepared very good food that's 100% vegetarian, according to my requirements. The staff were nice, and the surroundings were neat and clean. There's also a pleasant park nearby for a quiet walk.
