Smile Hotel

The staff were friendly, and getting there was convenient since I could take the airport limousine bus directly to the hotel. It's far from the city center, but seemed like a decent place for a short stay until I saw the room. The hygiene was appalling: a brush tangled with someone else's hair was among the bathroom amenities, and ants were crawling over the wooden furniture, desk, and even the bed. The room faced the main road, and motorcycles kept me awake all night. I have no intention of staying here again and definitely don't recommend it.

The price was decent, but the cleaning lady made us leave almost two hours before checkout. We were also unexpectedly charged for water at the end, and there were dogs barking outside.

The bathroom has no separation between the shower and toilet, so the whole floor gets wet. There was also a bad smell around the lobby and lift, though thankfully not in our room. Agoda and other booking sites list this place as a hotel, which gave us the wrong impression: it feels like a hostel, not a three-star hotel. They even charge for the little bottles of water in the fridge. Wouldn't recommend it.

The air conditioning was unreliable, working sometimes and not others. The boss at reception was kind, but at the end he charged us for the fridge water without having mentioned the charge beforehand.
