Dai Viet Hotel

The doors are pretty thin, so noise comes through easily, though the curtains do a good job of blocking sunlight. The rooms are spacious and well designed, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are large with strong water pressure. Breakfast was decent. Good value for money, and I’d come back.

There was a stressful mix-up at check-in: staff said I hadn't paid, even though I had, and they didn't know how to check the payment confirmation. Aside from that, I had a nice stay. The hotel was good and in a good location.

The morning buffet was okay, and the staff were friendly. The bathroom door doesn't lock and is quite see-through. I understand it may suit the elegant, romantic theme, but it should offer a lock and more privacy. Otherwise, a good hotel.

We checked out, got a refund, and moved to Vinpearl Hotel. Paying extra for the upgrade was definitely worth it. At check-in, we learned the gym, sauna and pool were out of service. Then, once we reached the room, construction noise sounded like a jackhammer right outside. When we asked what the hotel could do, they told us to find another hotel. Before that, it had seemed great. Renovations were due to be completed on November 15th, so don't stay until they're done.
