Khang Dien Hotel

We were woken about an hour after check-in, while resting after our trip, with a call in Vietnamese saying they wanted to send someone to fix the room's AC. I'd booked about a week ahead, so being given a room needing AC work was frustrating. We refused the repair then. The AC doesn't work well and makes a terrible noise all the time. When I went out around 6pm that evening, I asked for my ID so I could carry it with me. They asked us to pay the bill before leaving, even though this was the day we checked in. They don't ask to copy the ID, which is why they keep it, but want the bill paid the day before checkout. The staff don't speak English, and they made no effort to communicate through translation. They just said “No” and left me to work it out. I've stayed in hotels for 100-200 thousand VND and don't expect much at that price, but this discounted room was 500 thousand. I've had 200 thousand rooms just as good. The whole stay felt like an amateur operation and wasn't worth it.

The employees are really nice, and the room was tidy and clean. The price is reasonable, so I'd recommend renting a room here.

It's fine.

It's quite cheap, but the TV is old, lags a lot, and is almost only good for listening to music. Even though it's in TDM, it's still fairly far from the center of TDM.
