The staff were helpful when they moved us to a room with a sea view, and that was worth two stars. The rest of the stay was hard to overlook: rubbish covered the beach and sea, and the place looked far past its best. The advertising photos seem more than ten years old to me, and I think they’ve been edited too. Almost everything might have been great, but the litter spoiled it. The best part was watching sunset from the pool at a neighboring hotel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for what we paid. From driving around the area, though, I’m not sure other places would be much better. All the beaches we saw were heavily littered.

The pool is large and lovely, and the beach was clean and really nice. The bungalow has a great view and feels private, so it seems suited to a honeymoon. It cost a little over $70, including breakfast, but you have to walk to Rock water bay resort's restaurant for the buffet. There’s a nice-looking outdoor hot tub, though it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. The food was only okay and very expensive.

Breakfast, the spa, and the pool were good, since they’re run together with Rock Water Bay. The room, though, felt very old for $100 a night and needs an upgrade. When I arrived, the only working light was in the toilet and there was no wifi. Fortunately, a technician was able to fix the lights for us.

During my July 20-21, 2019 trip, the wifi in bungalow room 11 never became available, and the TV picture was poor. I raised the issue with reception three times, from 2 pm until 5 pm, but it still hadn’t been fixed by the time I checked out the next day. I consider wifi an important part of good service. With only my 3G, I couldn’t comfortably share the trip, my status, or videos with family and friends.

This place looks nothing like its old Google photos now. It’s badly run down and there’s no restaurant or spa. Maybe it was a nice spot once, but these days it’s poorly maintained, so stay away, sorry. Go to Rock Water bay next door instead. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one deserves it.
