BALI Motel Vung Tau

The rooms are new and clean, and the location is great. The owner is very helpful. I gave it five stars mainly for the value, and I'd definitely come back.

The price was good for a place in such a convenient location. I booked the motel on Agoda and check-in was quick. It's only a few steps from the beach area, with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. My room was quiet and had a window, though no view. The air conditioning worked well, and the hard mattress was comfortable for me. The TV had more than 50 channels with a good signal, but the room Wi-Fi seemed nonexistent. The bathroom was clean, with a partitioned shower that kept the rest of the floor from getting wet. Water pressure was good; a shelf in the shower would have been useful. Cleanliness was acceptable, though I noticed a few dusty spots. Thuy, the daytime receptionist, was friendly and helpful, and arranged my Limousine transport to HCM. I'd likely stay here again when visiting Vung Tau.

My Agoda booking went through without any errors, but when I arrived and checked in late, I was told there was no room for me for some reason. The host apologized and offered a refund if I found another place, or a stay at their homestay farther away. I declined that option and got my money back. I'd already seen reviews describing similar situations, so I'd suggest confirming your reservation before you go.

They advertise through booking.com but don't check or block off the rooms. That left us in an awkward spot on a busy Saturday night.
