F5 Villa

I only spent one night here. I hadn't checked the reviews in advance, and after reading them I was really worried, though I tried to prepare myself, so arriving wasn't as shocking as it might have been. The room was spacious, but the villa was old and badly run down, and not attractive otherwise. Lighting was sparse, dim, and some fixtures were broken without being fixed. The bathroom smelled and was in poor shape. No door, including the bathroom door, could be shut or locked, and the windows had the same problem. Curtain rods were bent or broken. One of the two stainless dining tables was damaged. The pots and pans were old, dented, and damaged. There was only a bottle of oil and a jar of sugar for condiments, though those weren't essential and I could have bought them myself. Drinks and everything else cost extra. The alcohol stove appeared to have a hole and couldn't be used. The extra mattress was three pieces stitched together, not one mattress. The sheets and pillowcases seemed just okay, and probably weren't clean. Tiles were loose and the wooden floor creaked. The room air conditioners worked, but the remotes didn't, and some couldn't be used at all. Water pressure was weak, and the Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent and unusable. The housekeeper was enthusiastic and did her best to clean, but the villa's condition didn't justify the 9.3 million VND per night I paid. I took it as an experience. It's the worst villa in the area.

The villa is about 1 km from the beach, and the room doors don't have keys, so privacy may be an issue. Of the five rooms, only four can be used for sleeping because one has no toilet. The place also looks a bit old and isn't as nice as Sale presented it. One room's air conditioning doesn't work. Extra facilities like karaoke, cooking, and charcoal cost more. Towels and sheets aren't fully provided for extra guests. Each room has just one bed, so to fit the advertised 15-20 people you'd need mattresses, which are very low, and there aren't enough sheets.

Bottled water, pool floats, and charcoal all came with extra charges, and there were no discounts or promotions. The house was dirty and not thoroughly cleaned, with dim, gloomy lighting. The door wouldn't shut properly. The female staff member was late for check-in, leaving guests waiting, then arrived 30 minutes early at checkout to hurry people out. She also started cleaning the bed linens while guests were still in the room.

The staff were rude even though I called half an hour ahead, and check-in was late. The wooden floor was dirty, the door wouldn't lock, and the lighting was very dim. After taking payment, the staff had a really bad attitude. Wi-Fi was nearly useless, and the pillows were filthy and full of mosquitoes. I won't come back after this first visit.
