Dhawa Ho Tram

We had a great weekend escape from HCMC. The food from the à la carte menu was delicious, and I really liked my room with its direct sea view. The receptionists were so friendly and hospitable, especially the male receptionist. Amazing stay 🩵

The spa was a real highlight, both my facial and body treatments were 10/10. I also loved the Dec 20 Seafood Buffet, with fresh seafood and top-notch service. But I found the breakfast buffet disappointing: the Banh Cuon was cold and hard, and the noodle soups had no taste. The rooms were average, and having a price list for every item in the room felt cheap for a luxury hotel. The shuttle was handled terribly. A whole group of families and elderly guests had to wait for two people who were late, then those two were given priority seats. That was completely unacceptable under a "first come, first served" policy. At this price, there are many other 5-star hotels along Ho Tram beach with much better service. I expected more.

Nguyen, who helped with our luggage and everything in between, was wonderful, so polite and a great representative of Dhawa. The receptionists were amazing too, unbelievably friendly and supportive, especially Quỳnh & Thương. I loved my stay because of them. The spa staff were also professional and incredible, and I think every guest should try the spa. I've stayed at 5* hotels in New York, Las Vegas, Boston & Miami, and had such a wonderful experience at Dhawa that I'll keep coming back. I also want to try their sister resort, Angsana, for double enjoyment.

The resort is small, clean, cozy, and nice, and my kids liked it. But the water near the sandbags suddenly gets deep, and there were no warning signs. My two children almost drowned there. I was screaming for help while the lifeguard took his time walking over barehanded instead of running or responding urgently. If my kids hadn't known how to swim and their uncle hadn't rushed in, this could have ended in tragedy. It was terrifying. The lifeguards urgently need proper lifesaving training.
