Samoana Boutique Hotel

We spent eight nights at Samoana as a family of four and loved it. The pools, one deep and one shallow, were a real bonus, and we swam every day. Our room was spacious, fresh, and clean, with a great bathroom and a big shower. The kitchenette had everything we needed day to day. Lolo and the staff were wonderful. We saw the same people around each day, always smiling and greeting us warmly. It was clear they took pride in keeping the facilities in good shape. We hope we can come back. Thanks for such a great stay!

The rooms are good, but this place is better suited to people who don’t need much service and have their own car and local SIM. It should call itself a motel. They say it’s central, though that’s a stretch, it’s a 2 km walk. There’s no wifi. If you arrive on a late Fiji flight, ask for a blanket: without aircon you may be hot, or cold with it. Also, avoid a room next to the cars if you want to sleep in the morning. Be careful using a credit card at the cafe on site. The vendor showed up as US Anchorage, and my card was terminated.

We used this as our base for exploring the island, then came back to relax and recharge. It’s peaceful but close to town, and the location worked really well for us. The hotel was clean and quiet, a good fit for families or solo travelers. Taumeasina Rentals is right next door, where we got a RAV4 for $130 per day. We’d definitely book here again on another Samoa holiday.

We stayed at Samoana for two weeks with our family and would absolutely come back. It’s easy to get to the city and other places, the rooms are very clean, and everyone on staff, including security, was helpful. Highly recommend it. A couple of things could use attention: the fan control stops when you try to set it to medium, and the dining chairs need replacing. Other than that, everything was good. Faafetai
