The resort staff were really helpful when our booking problem came up, and apparently we weren't the first guests to run into it. Hotels.com (expedia) had been awful about getting our money back, and the resort hadn't received any notice of our arrival from them. I'd book through the resort's own website or booking next time. We still really enjoyed our stay, with good food and a calm, quiet beach. Renting a car is a good idea too, since it's far from the harbour and getting there by public bus is soo complicated.

The buffet breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit and local dishes, and the lunch and dinner options were really delicious too. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. A paradise of a place to relax and enjoy the sea.

Our room, Tui 3, was clean and tidy when we got in, with the air con already on, which we really needed! The team gave good customer service, and I loved them. Good food and generous portions too. My husband and I loved our lil getaway.

We arrived just before dark and found a lovely little eating area. Since we were travelling as a large group, we picked our rooms as we went. By morning, the view was just beautiful, and it felt like we had our own little rustic island. My son loved being so close to the beach and the lovely hammocks. We enjoyed the stay and wished we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend.

The place has a real local feel, and while the accommodation was a little older than it looked in the online photos, the private paradise made that matter less once we were spending our days there. It's cosy, the breakfasts are amazing, and the team's warmth and the soul of the place come through, even though the resort could use a renovation. We want to sincerely thank the wonderful team at Vai i Moana Resort, especially Telei the manager, for being so kind and attentive. From check-in through check-out, they took care of every detail to help us have the best experience. We will remember this stay fondly. Keep up the great work.
