Talofa Inn

I stayed at Talofa Inn in central Apia in early 2026 and absolutely loved it. The rooms and wifi were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Being able to use the kitchen helped keep costs down, and having a supermarket across the road was perfect. I’d definitely stay there again.

The staff were super friendly, and the location is great. We paid 50 tala for an early check-in after our overnight flight. Our room had its own toilet and shower; other reviews mentioned bathrooms outside the room, so it must depend on what you book. Continental breakfast is included, with a hot breakfast available for an extra cost. It seemed to vary depending on who was making it. There’s parking on site, but someone had to unlock the gate when we left early in the morning. Someone always seemed to be around. One of the women also gave us a bunch of recommendations for things to see on the island.

Right in downtown Apia, so the location is great. The room had good air conditioning, a fridge, and a wash basin, which was useful since the private bathroom was outside the room rather than ensuite. Taxis seemed to have trouble finding the hotel, so keep its phone number handy to give the driver directions.

A great base for exploring downtown Apia. The room was very clean, the AC excellent, and breakfast and coffee were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful, and you can hire vehicles on site. Just be ready for road noise, the windows don’t block it, so locals’ music may reach you at any hour. On Sundays, you can hear the churches come alive from the shared balcony.
