Palace Hotel & Spa

Getting to the hotel was easy, and the food had a good range of options and tasted very good. Our room at Hotel Palace and Spa was modern, spotless, and comfortable, with daily cleaning. Everyone we dealt with, from reception to the spa, was friendly and helpful. My family and I had a very pleasant stay.

The area around the hotel and its location aren't great, though inside it has a nice design. The rooms are big, breakfast is good, and it's a very good hotel.

The restaurant was the best part of our stay. The staff there gave great service, and the dishes we ordered from the menu were good. The interior also looks nice and modern, though first impressions made the hotel seem more luxurious than the experience turned out to be. My husband and I were in Kosovo for the first time for a friend's wedding, and I wouldn't rate this as a five-star hotel. My friend from Kosovo helped me through check-in, which I'm glad about because the process wasn't smooth and I felt unwelcome. We were given one key card and had to ask for a second, which seemed to bother the receptionist. Paying by card or asking for two room keys shouldn't have to become a discussion at a "5 star hotel." Before arriving, I'd emailed two questions. I was told they "prefer cash," but that sounds like a preference, not a rule. My friend eventually helped me pay by card, and I later saw on the website that cash, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted. I also asked if I could take breakfast with me one morning because of the wedding. During check-in, the receptionist confirmed I'd get a sandwich and said there were takeaway cups in the room for coffee. But when I came down in the morning, the man at reception said he couldn't make a sandwich because he was working alone and the restaurant opened later. There weren't any cups in the room either. The receptionists apologized several times and gave us a free late checkout to make up for it. Cleanliness was okay in general, but there were little hairs on the hairdryer in our room. Some mornings, the fried eggs and omelette had shell pieces in them, which made for an unwelcome crunch. My friend says it's one of the better hotels in the area, but I still wouldn't call it five-star.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were so friendly. We had an excellent stay with the family, and the service was impeccable. We'll definitely come back.
