The game drives with Kevin were something special, and every bit of our stay felt magical. We’ve been around the world and stayed in some incredible places, but Gorah has been our best experience so far. The staff were fantastic. We loved every minute and will definitely return.

We stayed in comfortable luxury tents that still gave us that feeling of sleeping out in the wild. The lodge sits beside a waterhole in wonderful Addo national park, where hundreds of animals come to drink each day, including elephants, zebras, lions, rhinos, ostriches, warthogs and kudus. The guides were knowledgeable, and the safari was unforgettable.

We spent three amazing nights at Gorrah, and came away with memories for a lifetime. The lodge is set around a watering hole in the bush, so nature is right there, from zebras wandering towards the tents to elephants in view over breakfast. Justin, our ranger, explained what we were seeing with so much patience and knowledge, and helped us get the most out of it. The whole team was fantastic. A special thanks to Justin, Elizabeth, Donald, Siya and Cheryl, along with everyone else. They happily handled every request, and the food was delicious with all our dietary needs taken into account.

Hearing the animals at night while sleeping in one of the well-kept lodges was amazing. They have a shower and toilet, and the accommodation and service were both lovely. There’s a lookout deck in front of the hotel where you can watch animals drinking at the small pond, and once you’re past the driveway you may see them roaming naturally. The safaris were great too, with a guide who explained everything clearly. I’d definitely recommend it.

Those little winter touches made a real difference, like welcome and bedtime notes, sweets left on the bed, and hot water bottles at night. We felt like royalty at Gorah, and it’s easily one of our favourite stays. The staff were amazing, including Donald, Simoné, Kevin, Siya, Nelly and Ellie, plus everyone working behind the scenes. Everything was taken care of. Thank you, Gorah, for an experience we’ll remember for a lifetime.
