River Front Estate

We chose this place as our base for Addo Park and had a really nice stay. The host kept us updated during the day about lion sightings in the park, and there were always birds to watch at the feeding spot. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

We booked three rooms for six family members, and every one was beautiful and tidy. Lisa was a great host, sharing all the essentials well ahead of time and going out of her way to give us information about tours in the park and around the area. The place is a real hidden gem near Addo Elephant Park, with a lovely view of the Sunday's River. We only booked one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely worth visiting, and coming back to.

The restaurant staff were so kind and respectful, and we loved the ice tea and the “wildebeest” with honey and mustard. The apartments are clean and really nice, with a fantastic view from ours. Lisa was very helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’ll miss the place. Greetings from the Netherlands! :))

Lisa showed us around and explained everything when she checked us in. Cottage 1 was lovely, clean, tastefully modernised, and nicely decorated. It had a great stoop and Weber braai, with a lovely pool a few steps down. The river and surrounding views were amazing, the bed was super comfy, and the linen was lovely. The bathroom and cottage smelled fresh, and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed waking up to the owners’ friendly cats and dogs greeting us on the stoop. There’s free WiFi and an on site restaurant, though it’s closed in winter. Addo is 10 km away. Schotia Safaris is only 30 minutes away, and booking a private trip there is highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come again soon.
