We had dinner at Blue Sky both nights, and every meal was delicious. Breakfast also had plenty of options for everyone. Our host gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and the clean, airy, spacious rooms made for a lovely stay. I also enjoyed the communal reading room, with its great reference books. Arniston’s village is stunning, with traditional fishermen’s cottages winding along the coast. It’s a good base for visiting L’Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. Thanks to everyone at Blue Sky for a memorable visit.

The quiet, quaint, classy Madina is a lovely place to spend the day. Its central courtyard has a small plunge pool that’s perfect for chilling out and unwinding. Adrian and Jill have hosting down to an art, and the accommodation shows their amazing attention to detail. They really have thought of everything.

Uwe and Jill offer a comfortable stay with breakfast included, in a quiet neighborhood just a five-minute walk from the shore. Dinner can be ordered, and there’s a splash pool and a licensed bar with a wide choice of liquor. The hosts’ daily involvement gives the well-kept place a homely feel. It caters to adults only.

I visited from October 10 to 12 this year, making it my fifth or sixth stay. It’s the best guesthouse in Arniston, with clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and food that’s out of this world. Jill and Adrian are wonderful hosts. I’ll keep coming back at least once a year. Anyone visiting Arniston really should stay here.
