A really awful place to stay. It wasn’t clean or tidy, some plugs were faulty, and bath towels weren’t provided unless you asked. They charged R50 to use their iron, too. My sister was told they’d charge another R200 on top of the booking fee if she stained the bed while on her period.

I booked two days ahead and called an hour before arriving to confirm my arrival time. They agreed, but when I got there, I was told every room was full. I’d come all the way from Mbombela and didn’t know the area. The only person at reception was a young girl with red and white beads, and she was the one who handled it.

What a nightmare. This was the most disappointing and unprofessional lodge or hotel I’ve booked. There were no shower doors or towels, no parking, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work.

We didn’t enjoy our stay. The staff weren’t friendly, and the rooms we received were nothing like the ones advertised online. Before check-in I asked if they could provide an iron and was told yes. Then in the morning I was asked to pay R50 for it, which felt unfair and misleading.

The service was very, very poor. The staff were unfriendly, with a bad attitude and poor treatment of customers. The rooms weren’t good, and the showers were a disaster, with water all over the bathroom. I’d never recommend anyone stay there.
