Die Moerbeiboom

We booked this Airbnb because it welcomed dogs, and on arrival everything seemed fine. About half an hour later, my small dog crawled under the raised kitchenette and found rat poison left out in the open. I rushed him to an emergency vet to have his stomach pumped. It cost R800 to save his life, on top of the R800 we paid for the accommodation. I stayed awake all night, checking him every 20 minutes. How can poison be left uncovered where a dog can reach it? This was a terrible experience. How is that acceptable?

We never actually made it to the place because we booked by mistake. The people there were kind and understanding, though, and their communication helped us sort things out. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely book.

The dogs were such a fun part of our stay at Die Moerbeiboom. We made up nicknames for them, Toerkie, Wolfie, and Buksie, because each had so much character. They were friendly and added to the warm, family feel of the place. Chris and his lovely wife welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, with lovely furnishings and a personal touch. They have everything you might need for either a short stop or a longer visit. Thank you for making Die Moerbeiboom feel like staying with family. I'll choose it over any other accommodation in Bloemfontein whenever I visit. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely night here. The place is beautifully put together and had everything we needed to stay comfortable overnight.
