The chalet was tidy and had the basics we needed for a night or two. We had planned to camp but switched at the last minute, and I'm glad we did because the campsites sit between the chalets with little privacy. The resort is beside the highway, so it can be noisy if you're not used to that, and the low fence between the highway and resort didn't make us feel very secure. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Fine for an overnight stop.

This works as an overnight stop on a long drive, with tidy gardens, friendly staff, hot water, and standard three-prong power points. Each site has its own ablutions. It's close to the railway and the N1, so think of it as an oasis rather than a holiday destination.

The venue looked beautiful, and the food was divine. Les and Teresa and their friendly staff went out of their way to make my 60th birthday feel special.

We won't be back. They charge R50 per cat, even though our cats are campervan cats and we bring litter boxes for them. What is that fee for? And with dogs, I pick up their poo, yet there's still a charge. The amount per dog is enormous. Shame on you.
