Tucked away at Muizenberg Beach, this place is a gem 🙏🏼 The room was spacious, with an amazing beach view from the balcony. That was the real highlight for me, and it was so cool to sit there and enjoy the view. The shared kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom and toilets were very clean. The reception guys were extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve had personal experiences that make me say not every place is like you guys, hey. I’ll definitely visit again soon. Keep up the good work 🙏🏼

Being right on the beach was exactly what I expected from the pictures, and I could hear the waves in the morning. The location was perfect. But I may have misunderstood the ad: I thought there were two rooms, one with a sea view, sharing a bathroom. In fact, around 14 or 15 rooms share it. There wasn’t much peace or privacy. People were very noisy, and on Friday at 1 am some medium-sized dogs barked for five minutes while nobody did anything. At 5:30 the next morning, an unsupervised teen wandered around slamming doors until I got up, then sheepishly went back to his room. The property is above a restaurant/pub with a DJ every night. I stayed a week, and on some nights the walls vibrated until around 1 am. The kitchen was equipped just fine, but I was assured nothing would go missing from the communal fridge, and my superM milkshake was stolen. The bedsheet smelled old on my first night. I messaged the owner, whom I never actually met, but who seemed very nice, and they changed it right away. The people staying there seemed unfazed by everything, though I probably looked unfazed too. Next time I’d prefer more quiet and privacy. Thanks for having me anyway. WC is an unbelievable place, and my week was unforgettable.

The surf lessons with Doug were a real highlight. He was patient and positive, and in three days we learned a lot and felt inspired to keep learning. If you want a surf hostel, this is a great spot, with a perfect location, relaxed staff, and a café/bar on the same floor. Our double room wasn’t fancy, but we slept surprisingly well. The only downside was some other guests leaving their things around the common areas and bathrooms, and not always cleaning up their mess in the kitchen. That’s hostel life, though, and not the accommodation’s fault.

The beach is just a few steps away, which made the location perfect. My room and the shared areas were spotless. I’d happily stay here again.
