Cascades 2 bed 'FRESH LOOK & GREAT VIEW'

Modern, tidy, and very good.

We really liked the area, and the unit was spacious and good value. The utensils were very dirty, as if they’d been put away right after use, though washing them ourselves wasn’t a problem. For bookings of three months, we wish the full amount could be paid upfront. If you’re visiting for business or another reason that keeps you somewhere for over a month, paying weekly can get a bit expensive.

The location worked well for me, with Woolworths Food just a short walk away, along with restaurants and other shops. Cape Town Stadium is also within walking distance. The underground parking behind a gate was a nice bonus, and 24 hour security and access control made the place feel safe. The neighbourhood itself didn’t seem bad either. The room and most of what was in it felt dated, but it was clean and comfortable. It’s decent accommodation if you’re on a budget, and I’d stay there again.

Woolworths and restaurants are an easy walk away on the Main road, and an uber ride to V&A is quick. The secure entry, which needs a tag, was reassuring. The building is old, although our unit had been updated. It was clean and tidy, but could use some TLC, especially the bathroom. The bedding smelled damp, as if it hadn’t dried properly, and extra blankets and towels would have helped. There was a lot of noise, including children screaming behind the building, possibly from a pre school, as well as drilling and other building sounds. I wouldn’t recommend staying here during the day on a weekday.
