Colette's B&B

We stayed at collettes for five days, and I came away unhappy. The welcome wasn't very friendly, the room wasn't in great shape, the towels smelled damp, and the bathroom was dirty. The room was cleaned just once during our stay. I've developed bites that my doctor told me were bed bug bites. Breakfast was listed as included, but I was told hot breakfast would cost another R60, and that I had to wash my own dishes.

The loft they put me in was impractical, with a roof that's far too low and a tiny, uncomfortable shower. The bed wasn't properly made when I arrived, either. When I opened the fridge to prepare my own breakfast, it smelled unbearable and had a mouldy dish inside. I also found quite a few spider webs, so it didn't seem to be cleaned often. The service was very unprofessional and disorganized. This place is ridiculous, and the complaints go on. The guest who stayed there for this review was Donovan-Lee Stander, hope that helps.

Colette was very welcoming, and I really enjoyed my stay. She provides everything, including heating and electric blankets, which are much needed on cold days.

There were spider webs everywhere, and the fridge was dirty with food that had gone off. The rooms are small, you have to make your own bed, and you make your own breakfast too. Makes you wonder how often the bedding gets changed. Need I say more?
