Breakfast was wholesome, tasty, and ready on time, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. The owners are really kind and flexible, and housekeeping keeps everything in its proper place. The only thing holding it back for me is wheelchair access. 8/10, I’d happily recommend it.
The pool, warmed with solar panels, and the garden feel like a little paradise. Inside, the decor is gorgeous, and the rooms each have their own main colour, like red, orange, or blue. Sarah or her son Duncan greet you warmly and professionally before showing you to your room. Breakfast is a full buffet, with everything from fruit salad and yogurt to hot food like eggs and sausage. A real diamond in the rough. Hard to beat, and this lovely guesthouse could stand alongside a 3-4 star hotel.
We regularly take care of the carpet cleaning here. Humewood Guesthouse is always neat, the hostess is very friendly, and the guest rooms are really comfortable.
Had a wonderful time. I’ll definitely book again.
It feels gorgeous inside, but still has that cosy, homey atmosphere. The welcome is warm from the moment you walk through the door.
