The breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit, cereal, cooked food, breads and cheeses to choose from, and I slept well. The windows rattled in the strong winds, but they had wedges ready to stop the noise. The guesthouse is in a peaceful suburb, close enough to walk safely into the centre. It's a beautiful old building, with sloping floors and period details. I'd book again.

We could sit on the stoep with coffee or tea and watch the world go by, with lovely views of the mountains and city lights. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the linen crisp. Mark and the staff are professional, always friendly and ready to help. The old fashioned charm makes the place cosy, and the hearty breakfast gets the day off to a good start. It's close to amenities, and Uber arrives quickly to take you where you need to go. It really feels like home. We’d definitely recommend Esperanza guesthouse.

We loved the peaceful guest house and will definitely come back. Each day was lovely, with breakfast to enjoy, Table Mountain in view, and places of interest close by. Mark and the ladies at Esperanza Guest House gave us such a warm welcome. They're genuinely friendly and lovely people.

We had a very pleasant stay, and the host was really friendly. Breakfast is included each day, from 7 to 10. The 150-year-old building shows its age in a lovely way, though the floor gets a little noisy when you walk. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We were in South Africa for our honeymoon and enjoyed the clean rooms and delicious breakfast. The guest house is in a quiet, very safe neighborhood with a great view. Public transport is about a five-minute walk away, and the city centre is around 15 minutes on foot.
