We spent two weeks at La Vue Parfait in Gordon’s Bay and loved the peaceful setting. Guinea fowls regularly came into the yard, and we could walk straight from the back of the property onto the mountainside for quiet nature walks. It’s also dog-friendly, and there’s a shopping centre nearby with Woolworths, Spar, a pet shop and a great biltong shop. The house worked beautifully for our group of eight. We comfortably used six rooms, each with an en-suite, and there was plenty of room to spend time together, with a big kitchen, generous living areas and a lovely terrace for a braai under the stars. The pool was a real treat for cooling off. The ocean and surrounding views were stunning every day, and the property itself is beautiful. Lucy, our host, was always available and helpful, with great recommendations that made the stay even better. We’re already dreaming of returning and can’t recommend La Vue Parfait enough as a comfortable, beautiful and convenient retreat.

I went there hoping to relax and got even more than that. It was quiet and peaceful, and the view was wonderful. I really enjoyed the weekend, especially the rooms with their own balconies and outdoor furniture, and the bathrooms. I’d go back anytime.

The property has a cosy, well-worn feel and a quiet neighbourhood, with a helpful and accommodating landlord. There’s a pool, parking, a barbecue area, indoor fireplaces, a TV, free Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen. It’s very spacious, with six bedrooms and a bathroom for each. The setting against the mountainside is striking, with panoramic views over False bay, the surrounding area and Sir Lowry's Pass. We loved staying here.
