I paid Morningside Cottage Tokai 283 USDollars, including for a transfer from the hotel to the airport, and say they have not returned my money. I reported the hotel to the Police, the Court, my Country’s Embassy, the Goverment of South Africa, lawyers from the South Africa Ministry of Justice, the Mayor of Cape Town, and the Cape Town Bar Lawyers Federation. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I say they defrauded me and will be prosecuted for fraud. Frances is a lovely, guest-focused hostess, and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are spacious, tidy, and comfortable, with a lovely garden outside. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet centrally located, and good value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again.

Terri was lovely to deal with. My 91 year old dad had a booking, but unfortunately he became ill and couldn’t use it. Since it was a medical incident, Terri agreed to refund him. Thank you, Terri.

I’m a week into a two-week stay, and this is already my fourth time here. It always feels like a wonderful home away from home. Frances and Frank are caring, courteous hosts who go out of their way to make you feel part of the family from the moment you arrive. The property is surrounded by nature and has plenty of room to wander. It’s in the peaceful Tokai suburbs, while still conveniently close to local attractions. The service is impeccable, and the amenities have everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing visit. Frances takes your needs and length of stay into account when offering a room, and there are different setups available. Breakfast is delicious, made with love, and has a range of choices. I’d highly recommend this gem for either a short or long getaway.
