One thing to keep in mind is the distance from shops and restaurants. We walked into Simons Town on the first day, and it took about 45 minutes. The guest house sits high up, so the views are stunning. Our room was clean and tastefully decorated, with lots of character. The owners and staff made us feel welcome and were helpful, and we loved the homemade cakes and bread at breakfast.

The view is everything, and the location works well between Cape Point and Muizenberg beach, with Boulders beach just a few minutes away by car. Breakfast was top quality, and every detail felt exquisite. William, Kate and the staff made the place feel like home, only elegant and cozy. A very different stay from anywhere else I've been. Highly recommend Residence William French!

William and his team were superb, and it was a delight spending time with them. The food and drinks were top-class. It’s a beautiful, wonderfully relaxing place, with lovely rooms, comfortable lounging areas, and amazing views.

The three dogs were a lovely part of coming back each time, and the service had thoughtful touches throughout. I was greeted warmly and quietly, and the whole house felt peaceful and calming. From the room to the decor, everything seemed carefully considered. My room was spotless and really comfortable, and the elegant furnishings still made the place feel homely. I especially liked the pink wall, which gave the decor a bright, distinctive touch. Residence William French sits above Simonstown, with breathtaking views across False Bay. The setting is indulgent without losing its welcoming, comfortable feel. It was an easy, relaxing stay, and I can't recommend it enough.
