Everything at Rosedene matched the descriptions and pictures on the website: it was quiet and comfortable, with delicious breakfasts and excellent staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay, and if life brings us back to Cape Town, we'd happily book there again.

The staff are lovely, and the important places aren't far away. From here you get a really beautiful view over Capetown, Table Mountain, and Lion's Head. There's also a cute cat called Monkey who lifts everyone's spirits.

The owners were kind and gave us good ideas for restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was great, with plenty of good options, and we felt safe at the guest house and in the surrounding area. The room was exceptionally clean, and the house has a beautiful lounge as well as a roof top terrace. It's a lovely guest house, just a couple of minutes' walk from great restaurants on Kloof street. The hop on hop off bus stop on long street is a bit farther but still close. All in all, a very good stay.

The setting made our Cape Town stay: shops and restaurants are close by, and we could look out at Table Mountain from our comfortable room. The outdoor spaces felt just as inviting. Our hosts were warm and knew the area well, and the meals, laundry and hosting were all five-star. We had such a good time that this is where we'll stay next time.

Breakfast had lots of options, and the omelettes were made to order. We also enjoyed the view of Signal Hill. The location is handy for the Signal Hill and Table Mountain hikes, with great restaurants, cafes and a corner shop right nearby.
