I was let down by the place. It faces the beach, but there was no view to enjoy, and it didn't look like the photos I had seen. I wouldn't recommend it for a weekend meant to lift your spirits or rekindle a relationship. Cape Town itself is a beautiful, world-class city, and I was impressed on my first weekend visit in April. I'd booked a world-class place then and expected the same experience this time. Ask as many questions as you need about the accommodation so you don't end up disappointed like I was.

It's a nice building, but the outside of the units varies so much that it spoils its appearance. The window styles don't match, and some are white while others are silver. The doors are inconsistent too, some white and others stained brown, and the door burglar bars differ as well. The body corporate and managing agents should deal with these details to improve the building.

The beach was an easy walk away, and we enjoyed the nice views. Our room was clean, and the staff were professional, humble, and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience here.

I was staying in unit 39, which is lovely, but a few things need fixing. As a woman on my own, coming back after dinner to find no lights outside, on the stairs, or in the corridors felt like being in a horror movie.
