Carlyn made me feel at home, always attentive to what guests needed, and friendly and efficient. I spent a week at this Lodge and absolutely loved it. The room was clean and tidied daily, the bed and linen were nice and fresh, and there was hot water. The bar fridge stocked with wine, soft drinks, water and more was a great extra. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in CT. Highly recommended.

Granny Lisa is the best! The hosts were awesome, and the place was so peaceful and quiet. I had a personal issue with the room fan, but otherwise it was great. I’ll definitely visit again.

I cancelled my reservation during the free cancellation period, but the lodge ignored my messages and kept my deposit, which was 50 percent of the original total. After I disputed the charge with my credit card company, the lodge sent what it called proof that I had stayed there as a refugee from the Congo. My card company knew who I actually was and refunded me in full. Be careful, I’m writing this to warn others.

The rooms were bright and clean, and we always found parking right out front. The hotel is in a safe area close to restaurants. It’s a friendly little boutique hotel, with a communal kitchen and swimming pool as nice bonuses.

The rooms are divided with drywall, and they don’t wash the bedding, blaming water shortages in Cape Town. The caretaker was drunk every night we stayed. The service was the worst.
