Somer Place B&B

We needed somewhere peaceful, with a garden setting, while waiting for an operation at nearby Vergelegen Mediclinic. The rooms were well equipped, the staff were friendly, and we got some good rest during a stressful time. It was a pleasant surprise to find exactly what was advertised and more. The breakfasts we ordered were a little odd: my partner received a full-sized omelet, while I got a tiny one-egg triangle. They probably assumed I ate cereal or fruit, but I can’t. The food was all fresh and good, and the kitchen, pool and gardens were very well kept.

The pool was a real blessing in December’s heat, and breakfast was very good. We stayed for three nights at the end of December in this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our room was immaculate and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We’ll certainly stay again and recommend it highly.

Really friendly people, a lovely environment, and clean, well maintained rooms. The food feels like it’s made with care and love. I’ve tried other B&Bs, but this one takes the cake. If you don’t want to drive for dinner, Mr D has a huge selection, so you can get whatever you feel like.

The breakfast feels homemade and comes just how you want it, with plenty of extras like jam, fruit salad, cereal and drinks. The rooms and facilities were exceptionally clean and in great condition, and the soft beds and pillows made for a relaxing stay. The braai and pool area add to the laid-back feel. It’s in a safe spot and close enough to strand and the malls to suit whatever you need. To the whole team, thank you for a wonderful stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. When you spend your hard-earned money on a holiday, you sometimes feel you haven’t got enough for what you paid. Here, it was truly the opposite.
