The place was spotless, with a lovely balcony and lounge area, and it was very good value. There’s no bar or restaurant, but there are some nice spots across the street. The staff were friendly and even got in touch to let us know we’d left a bottle of tequila in the fridge.

The stay changed completely when we moved from apartment 315 to 413, directly above it. In 413 the room was brighter, laid out better, and, most importantly, had a comfortable bed. I’d give that apartment five stars. The first one was otherwise adequate, but its clearly broken bed frame dipped in the middle and the slats creaked badly. We barely slept and had back ache, so I’d rate 315 one star. We were told they couldn’t replace the bed without the owner’s approval, which left us feeling management had no control over room quality. The apartments can differ a lot, so you may need to ask for a better one.

Don’t book these apartments. The building’s ventilation system makes a loud buzz that carries into the apartment and drives you mad. You can’t sleep with the door open to get some air from the one small air conditioner in the kitchen, because of that noise. The listing says there’s air conditioning, but the bedrooms aren’t air conditioned. They’re like saunas, and sleeping is impossible.

It’s conveniently close to VFS, an easy walk from the apartment while the car stays parked there. The apartment was modern and well equipped, and we’d definitely stay again and recommend it. From booking through reception to the apartment, the service impressed us. They explained all the rules, which seemed reasonable for keeping the apartments in good condition and making the stay peaceful.
