The ladies who run the place were so warm and welcoming, and the service made me feel right at home. It’s also in a great spot, with penguins an easy walk away. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the sea views were glorious. There’s a quirky, cozy bar too, though I didn’t try it. After months travelling around different parts of Africa, this was the crowning glory of my trip and one of the coziest, most comfortable guesthouses I’ve stayed in. Everything is peaceful, spacious, full of character, and clearly cared for with a loving eye for detail. My room was super cozy, with a kitchenette better equipped than ones I’ve seen in many holiday cottages, plus complimentary cookies and chocolate. I only booked two nights, which was my mistake. I should have stayed at least two weeks.

We came back to the Cheriton for old times’ sake, since we already knew it. The owners are friendly and engaging, without ever being overbearing. Everything was spotless but still felt homely, from the rooms to the crisp linen and fluffy towels. All the amenities are close at hand, and help is only a call away. The food was perfect, and so was our stay. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Ms Vanya, Nicole, Rosalind and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome. Thank you for the kind service and lovely stay. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, with thoughtful extras like a fridge, good coffee and tea, and daily snacks. I loved this place. The Cheriton Guest House was my home away from home for two weeks. It’s in a peaceful spot with friendly neighbours, and the timeless style feels lovingly put together. There’s also a rich naval history here, and the facilities are top class. I can’t recommend it enough. 😅

The Cheriton has been our most genuine guesthouse experience during about 10 days travelling around Cape Town, including Seapoint, Camps Bay, Hout Bay and Simon’s Town. Nicole and her staff are real superstars. They greeted us so warmly, paid attention to every detail, and did their best to meet our needs. Even little touches like flowers in the towels, along with the impeccable service, made us feel at home so far from Sweden. Boulders beach is a short 10-15 minute walk away, and the restaurants and cafes in the “centre” of Simon’s Town are about 20 minutes on foot.

Celeste was an amazing host, always friendly and easy to reach. She checked in on us, arranged shuttles, and even made calls on our behalf. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. We had a great five days at the Cheriton, in a quiet, peaceful and very safe area. There’s plenty to do, though getting to things requires transportation and can mean quite a way to go. From Canada.
