The property felt very secure, and the staff and owner were responsive. Still, the room didn't match the pictures, and there was no backup battery or generator during load-shedding, when the local power provider cuts electricity to the area for a few hours. There was no heating or climate control either. I'm from a colder part of the US, but the lack of temperature control made me and others sick. I'd strongly suggest finding somewhere with climate control.

The pool is a real draw, right by the large braai area, though it was a little cold in winter. The guesthouse is modern and tastefully furnished, with beds that make you want to stay in them. It's well situated near the beach, shopping malls, and other amenities, and the price is good for what you get. I'll definitely return.

I lost R8000 and wouldn't stay there with my family. It was seriously disgusting, and nothing like the listing: there was debris from previous guests in the toilet, dagga growing, and no private bathroom or bath as promised. The shower was literally in a cupboard door, and the area felt dangerous. Guests have to share the kitchen, living room, and toilet with others. The owner didn't seem to answer the phone, and despite the website mentioning a cancellation fee or free refund, I couldn't get one. What a joke. The good Google reviews look like they're from the owner or family members. A BIG NO GO!

A lovely, clean place to stay. Our room, kitchen, and bathroom were all clean, and it was perfect for backpackers.
