Unit Number 204 Cape Royale Luxury Apartments

The staff were lovely, but couldn’t help with anything unless the booking agent approved it. The agent was a phantom, refused our calls, and ignored every message we sent. It’s a shame, because on arrival they’d made a lovely gesture with champagne and chocolate, which felt special. For a holiday of more than five days, we had to use one towel per family member for the entire stay. There was no broom, so the beach sand on the floors became irritating. We also had just one key, which made it impossible for me to take my youngest somewhere while my oldest went hiking. The staff eventually got us a spare key on the last day and let us into the locked cupboard in our room to get a broom, but it was a whole mission, and much too late. If the agent can’t be reached, they should at least provide another contact number. They made an effort with the welcome, but didn’t get the basics right, and an absent agent can really drag down the experience.

The bathroom had loads of mold, and everything felt old and damaged, like it needed an upgrade. It’s an Airbnb, not a hotel, and there weren’t enough amenities. Room 616 had constant noise from the bedroom side starting at 7:30 AM, with construction nearby that didn’t look likely to finish for at least 3-4 months. We couldn’t check in until after 5 PM on the first day because of cleaning, but on checkout day someone knocked at 10:01. That felt rude. Before we arrived, I asked the owner if we could check in a little earlier than stated and got no reply. During the stay, he sent messages through Booking.com as if he cared, but they were all copy-paste.

I was only visiting Cape Royal Hotel on 24 December 2025 to ask about a service, not as a guest. During my enquiry, a staff member corrected my language. I found that exceptionally rude and unnecessary. I was there to ask about a service, not receive unsolicited language lessons. How I express myself has nothing to do with the help I needed, and staff should focus on answering enquiries professionally and respectfully. The security guard on duty was courteous, professional, and extremely helpful, and ultimately got me what I needed. I’m sincerely grateful for his help. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future customer interactions improve.

Cape Royale, thanks for a great stay. The location felt safe and was clean, and the staff and facilities were world class, especially the rooftop pool. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed two extra nights. We’ll definitely be back!
