There’s loads to do here. I enjoyed canoeing, hiking, horse riding, and plenty more, and I loved how the property has everything you need. There are restaurants, plus the Oak supermarket with everything we needed at reasonable prices. Fuel is available on site too, which is really handy. The rooms are beautiful. Thank you, thank you, we had a very nice experience.

Nr 13 Mount Champagne is beautifully decorated with modern finishes, and we had a view of Champagne Castle from the lounge. It was serviced every day and is close to lots of walking trails. Stunning place. We booked through booking.com.

The surroundings were nice, and communication about my reservation was great. The rooms could use some renovation, though.

Starting the day with coffee and a mountain view in the early morning was the best. The staff were lovely and helpful. I spent my time bass fishing, birding, and just relaxing, and enjoyed every minute. There are a few interesting places nearby, including the Drakensberg boys choir and Valley bakery for fresh baking. Seeing zebra grazing on the grass outside the chalets was a lovely surprise. Watch out for the monkeys, they try to steal whenever they get the chance. Keep food out of sight and enjoy this lovely little piece of heaven.

We loved our time at Mount Champagne. The facilities, view, and overall feel were great, and the staff were friendly. There was lots of wildlife interacting with us. We did run out of toilet paper and had to buy some at the local shop down the road. The oven in our unit didn’t work, which was a bit of a letdown, but we made a plan and braaied instead. We’ll definitely come back.
